Diana M.H. Brenner and BCCLT teamed to provide design and engineering services to meet the demands of this highly technical, fast-track project. The scope includes a Level 3 Data Center and contemporary offices to consolidate multiple divisions of a community health services organization. One of the primary challenges was to upgrade the utility services and perform the renovation work to meet the current and future computer and personnel needs without disrupting the ongoing operations on the other ten floors of the building. The perimeter walls of the Data Center were replaced with insulated panels that protect the space from high velocity wind-borne debris. Modern enclosed offices and meeting rooms with state-of-the-art equipment are combined with collaborative workstations and contractor hoteling spaces to facilitate teamwork and support the computer operations. Brenner selected a fresh and energizing palette of colors and materials as well as energy efficient and user-centric lighting systems to provide a comfortable environment for the 24/7/365 operation.
