Ball State University, Football Complex
The Joan and Ron Venderly Football Complex will add much needed coaches offices and meeting space to the John W. and Janice B. Fisher Training Complex at the Scheumann Stadium. The exterior has a “wow factor” that serves to augment recruiting of first rate players and coaches and to engage alumni to assist in fundraising efforts. This has been handled sensitively to avoid overshadowing the existing and more restrained Fisher Center. A physical connection has been created with the Fisher Training Center while allowing the existing complex to retain its own identity. The west end of the Fisher Center is being modified to facilitate the marriage of the two complexes. There will be a shared entry and lobby serving both complexes at the location of the existing Fisher Complex west entry doors. All materials and much of the detailing are borrowed from either adjacent Fisher Complex or the Alumni Center across the street.
